Istanbul Nişantaşı University was established by the Nişantaşı Education and Culture Foundation and became a foundation university with the establishment decision numbered 6307 dated 16/05/2012 and published in the Official Gazette numbered 28309 dated 31/05/2012. It has taken its place in higher education to start its activities in the academic year. Nişantaşı University went through a major innovation in 2017 and moved all of its campuses to the new NeoTech campus located in Ağaoğlu 1453, and it has introduced many innovations, including the academic staff. As of May 2021, there are 46 undergraduate departments, 45 associate degree departments, 21 master's and doctoral departments. In addition, approximately 19 thousand students receive education at the university. According to the latest YKS preference results, the most preferred departments are; Computer engineering, English language and literature and software engineering.
